About Us
The Trans Advocacy and Complaint Collective UK is a grassroots organisation started in 2024 by a pair of dedicated trans women to advocate for trans rights, addressing transphobia, and ensuring that the voices of trans people are heard across the UK. Since out inception we have grown to a membership of over 120 people.
Our mission is to create a united front for all trans, detrans, non-binary, queer, intersex and cis allies to push back against discrimination, hold media accountable for transphobic content, and ensure that our voices are heard. If you’re passionate about activism, need support, or want to help make real change, there’s a place for you in our collective.
We are an apolitical organisation so cater to all.
Our Vision
We envision a society where trans individuals can live freely and openly, without fear of discrimination or prejudice. Our goal is to challenge and dismantle the systems that perpetuate transphobia, creating a more inclusive and just society for all.
What We Do
We engage in a range of activities aimed at promoting trans rights and combating transphobia, including:
- Advocacy: Working to influence policies and practices that impact trans people.
- Community Support: Providing a safe space for trans individuals to connect, share resources, and support each other.
- Media Accountability: Challenging transphobic narratives in the media through structured complaints and campaigns.
- Healthcare Reform: Advocating for improvements in gender-affirming healthcare and addressing systemic barriers within Gender Identity Clinics (GICs).
